Choice First Dog Training is committed to providing the most modern, scientifically proven and humane dog training.

Choice First Dog Training

Only uses positive reinforcement training methods backed by the latest science in canine behaviour, psychology and learning theory.
Works with a dog-centred and human-centred approach.
Will never use force, fear or intimidation, and prohibits the use of aversive or punitive methods or tools (e.g. choke chains, prong collars or e-collars).
Will refer clients to a suitable accredited professional if I feel their needs are beyond my capabilities.
Is committed to continuing professional development through self-study, workshops, courses and seminars.
Cannot accept responsibility for loss, injury, damage or death to a dog, person or property.

Must provide honest and accurate information regarding their dog’s history, behaviour and any known issues to ensure training can be tailored to their needs.
Must commit to attending all scheduled sessions and practicing the training exercises provided. Participation and consistency are crucial for success.
Must assume full legal, moral and financial responsibility for all actions and behaviours of their dog(s) at all times, and agree to assume all risks involved.
Unless otherwise specified, consent to photos and/or videos being taken of their dog during training sessions and give permission for any resulting content to be used for advertising, educational or promotional purposes.

Cancellations or rescheduling of sessions are allowed up to 48 hours before the agreed session day and time. Bookings cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice are paid for in full.
Payment is required at least 48 hours before the first session and refunds cannot be given after a training programme has started.
In the event of a no-show for an in-person or virtual session the session is still paid for in full. I will do my best to contact you and wait up to 15 minutes before stopping the session.
In the rare event I need to cancel a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and reschedule your session to another time that suits you. Refunds cannot be given in these circumstances.
